Lake Ridge, VA
Lake Ridge is located about 20 miles South of Washington D.C., in the zip code area 22192. It is bordered by the Occoquan River in the North, Woodbridge in the East, Dale City in the South, and Manassas in the West. It is located along I-95.
While Lake Ridge has long been considered a suburban area, the decades-long continuous development is giving it more-and-more of a town feel. It offers an abundance of shopping centers, office and business parks, restaurants, recreational facilities, parks, libraries, schools, and art.
The oldest planned communities in Lake Ridge originate from the 1960s. Today, Lake Ridge has more than 7,000 property units including single family, town homes, and condominiums. It also offers five pools, a boat ramp in the Occoquan Reservoir, sports fields, basketball courts, and tot lots.

Several medium and larger size strip malls line Old Bridge Road, which is the main artery of Lake Ridge, offering an abundance of shopping and dining facilities. For even more choices, Potomac Mills outlet mall is just minutes away in neighboring Woodbridge.
Chinn Aquatics and Fitness Center is the largest recreational and sports facility, but smaller, local gyms and dance studios can be found in almost every strip mall. Chinn regional library serves the needs of avid readers. Prince William Ice Center in neighboring Dale City features two Olympic size skating rinks and numerous programs from figure skating to hockey leagues for all ages. The major medical center is Sentara Medical Center in Lake Ridge, but Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center, and Kaiser of Woodbridge are also very close.
Outdoor enthusiasts enjoy Old Hickory Golf course, Lake Ridge Golf Course, and Lake Ridge Park with access to the Occoquan Reservoir. Pfitzner Stadium, located near the Prince William County Center, is home to the Potomac Nationals minor league baseball team.
Lake Ridge is easily accessible by car from I95, including access from the EZ Pass/HOV lanes. The two closest VRE stations are Woodbridge and Rippon. There are several large commuter lots, where people can pick up slug lines or the PRTC commuter buses to Washington D.C, which service multiple routes in the area, with many bus stops.
High schools are Woodbridge, Garfield, and Osborne Park.
Middles Schools are: Lake Ridge, and Woodbridge MS.
Elementary Schools are: Antietam, Rockledge, Lake Ridge, Springwoods, Old Bridge, and Westridge.
Lake Ridge is also home to numerous private schools
Afterschool activities are abundant with just about any sport that one can think of, playing music with the Youth Orchestras of Prince William County, singing with various choruses, art studios offering classes, etc.
Tacket’s Mill shopping center hosts a weekly farmers market.
July 4th is celebrated with fireworks at the Pfitzner baseball stadium, as well as with the magnificent July 4th parade going through neighboring Dale City.
Lake Ridge is also a neighbor to the historic town of Occoquan, and famous for its Spring and Fall arts and crafts festivals, attended by tens of thousands of visitors.
